Mill Valley has as many paths and stairways as Berkeley, possibly more. Alex, a lifelong resident of Mill Valley, will lead us on a sampling of the paths and a couple of fire roads.
Circa 1900, this scenic neighborhood boasted several imposing mansions with extensive grounds that belonged to some of the Bay Area’s wealthiest tycoons.
We will explore an area of North Berkeley that became a favorite of many UC professors. We will talk about some famous people who lived here and a bit of architecture and explore some lesser known paths.
This year’s long walk takes us across San Francisco. We’ll cross the City from the Embarcadero to Land’s End via hidden parks, stairs, and less-explored, but fun landmarks.
